Bald River Falls

Bald River Falls on 210 off the Cherohala Skyway near Tellico Plains, Tennessee. This is Wheel chair assessable from the road way looking at it from the bridge. I climbed down into the river bed to capture this shot. looking down the river to the falls. The height of the falls is 100’. There is also a path that leads around to the top of the falls. Cherohala Skyway is about a 40 mile road connecting Tellico Plains, TN to Robbinsville, NC. It took 30 years to build at a cost of 100million dollars. Starting in Tellico Plains area, you are at about 960’. You will climb to 5,390 feet before descending into Robbinsville, NC. It is one of the top scenic National highways.
